She may be married to Bollywood's biggest star Shah Rukh Khan, but Gauri Khan has managed to etch her own mark in life. Mrs. Khan was born Gauri Chhibber in New Delhi on October 8, 1970. She studied in Loreto Convent for 10 years, and later graduated in history from Lady Shriram College.
Gauri met with future husband Shah Rukh in 1984, fell hard in love. But their love story wasn't any less filmy.
Her family wasn't too keen on her marrying the future superstar and expressed strong disapproval. But Gauri didn't care for any of that, and fled from home. It was only later that Shah Rukh Khan followed and found her on a beach. This was where he asked her to marry him.
And married they were. Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan finally tied the knot on October 25, 1991, and have been together since. After completing a blissful 22 years together, Shah Rukh still thanks her for giving him the gift of family, and 'tolerating' him.
The couple now has three children together - son Aryan who was born on November 13, 1997; daughter Suhana who was born on on May 23, 2000; and the new addition to the 'Khan'-daan, son AbRam who was born on May 27, 2013 through surrogacy.
The family is often spotted together, and to say they're a tight-knit clan is to say the least. Shah Rukh Khan really adores his children and that makes one of the main reasons behind him constantly thanking Gauri for creating a home.
Gauri has come a long way since she first started out as a simple Delhi girl. She entered showbiz with her husband in 2002, and co- founded Red Chillies Entertainment. She has served as the main producer on all movies made here since. 'Main Hoon Na', 'Om Shanti Om', 'My Name Is Khan', 'Ra.One' and the recent 'Chennai Express' are the hits that soon followed. The multi-tasking super mom also started interior designing, launching her own line of furniture in 2012 in collaboration with Hrithik Roshan's wife Sussanne. A diva through and through!
